We will re-create classic musical numbers from old MGM movies, write our own episode of “Wizards of Wishing Star Place” and cast and star in our own “Wishing Star Soap Opera”. Students will work with an on-camera acting coach, choreographer, vocal coach and set designer.
This is a perfect opportunity to use creativity while learning about the movies! All the while, having FUN and making new FRIENDS!

| Bye Bye Birdie--Ages 11-16 yrsBYE BYE BIRDIE is one of the most captivating musical shows of our time. It is a satire done with the fondest affection, and tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army. Favorite songs like: “Put on a Happy Face”, “One Boy”, “A Lot of Livin' to Do”, and “Kids” are musical theatre classics. This is the tops in imagination and good old fashion fun. Students will have a blast as they dance their way through this musical, smiling and singing in a traditional “feel good” musical. Rehearsals Begin: March 15, 2010
| Spring Break Workshop -- Ages 6-14If you’re staying home and are looking for a way to experience new things, then come and be part of The Wishing Star Theatre’s Spring Break Workshop! Students will enjoy rotations in dance, voice, art and acting. Our final project will include a showcase of solo pieces, ensemble work and small skits. This is a great way to have an all encompassing experience, make new friends and have FUN!
