Rehearsals begin at The Wishing Star Theatre Arts Academy, children can explore the performing arts in a safe, non-competitive environment. The academy is a place for children to enhance their know-ledge of the arts, explore their creativity and express themselves freely on stage. The Theatre Arts Academy is not focused on training children for Broadway or Hollywood. Our focus is on building self-confidence, having fun and giving children a sense of accomplishment.
We offer classes in musical theatre, acting techniques, stage movement, voice and stage combat, as well as many seasonal specials like hand drumming and hula all taught by qualified and experienced theatre professionals. Our main stage children’s performances are held in our black box theatre that seats 84 people and features a 35’ by 25’ stage and custom-designed sound and lighting system. For more information on classes and children’s productions, please see our brochure. |
